People on Bonaire treat nature with love and respect. The island has been involved in nature protection for more than forty years. For example, Bonaire has five Ramsar sites (protected water areas), among which the mangrove forests. This nursery of the ocean can be easily explored by kayak. And nature is also protected in Washington Slagbaai National Park, where you can find no less than 500 different species of flora and fauna. Ever heard of the Lora?
